Water filtration systems are designed to work efficiently. What happens when that is not the case?

In this project we will be building a system to test what happens to water systems when they are not optimised.

On a basic level this system will dispell many misconceptions about water filtration. In a future project we will use this system to test our own home made components.

This will be the 4th rebuild of the recirculating chiller. In the past this project has been used for interns and new members to teach them the basics of control systems.

This long running project has been tried and tested and we are even considering making it an annual event.

The rebuild of the recirculation chiller has never been done the same way twice. With nothing but a good attitude you can learn how various different skills need to come together to create something tangable with real world function and performance.

New members are highly encouraged to get involved.

As the complexity of IT systems grow it gets more difficult to code your own productive software. Learning to code shouldn't be a tutorial hell.

This project encourages people to code for command line interface (CLI) applications - using only the node.js builtins - with the intention of using the UNIX style CLI pipelines to their advantage.

This method requires little to no prior knowledge, yet has a generously high skill ceiling. Beginners can create productivity tools that remain useful should they choose to learn other languages in the future.
